Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has inaugurated the newly reconstituted Governing Council of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), retaining Professor Adewale Abiodun Oladipo as the institution’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.
Adeleke announced the development in a statement shared on his X account on Monday, August 31, 2026, describing the move as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen the university’s governance structure and enhance its reputation among leading state-owned universities in Nigeria.
The governor noted that UNIOSUN had made notable progress under its existing management and governing council, pointing to various projects and achievements as evidence of the positive impact of stability, effective leadership and collective commitment to the institution’s growth.
