FAAN Denies Ban on Uber and Bolt at Nigerian Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has clarified that it has not imposed a blanket ban on e-hailing platforms such as Uber and Bolt at airports across the country.

The clarification follows recent concerns and reports suggesting that passengers could no longer use popular ride-hailing services at Nigerian airports.

FAAN explained that airports operate within regulated environments designed to ensure safety, security and orderly passenger movement, including measures to address touting.

The authority stressed that e-hailing operators are expected to comply with established airport regulations governing passenger pickups and drop-offs.

FAAN’s clarification is expected to ease concerns among travellers who rely on platforms such as Uber and Bolt for transportation to and from Nigerian airports.
