The Ondo State Government has reached an agreement with unions in its state-owned universities to address the prolonged disagreements over salary adjustments, allowances and other staff welfare concerns.
The resolution was reached after a series of engagements between representatives of the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led administration and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU).
As part of the agreement, Governor Aiyedatiwa approved the full implementation of the Federal Government-ASUU agreement on the Consolidated University Academic Salary Structure (CONUASS) for academic staff of universities owned by the state.
